Meet Amy
Hello, I’m Amy, a mother, public school art teacher, artist, blogger, and professional photographer, living in Portland Oregon.
I photograph both personal and commercial on-location projects for my clients. I shoot natural-light portraiture that has been featured in NW Kids Magazine, Barista Magazine, and OAFS Adoption literature. My Bachelor of Fine Arts lends an excellent foundation for the design elements and principles. I have an artistic eye; a penchant and intuition for composition, color, and detail. I worked in the art and design industry for years, before making photography a full-time career in 2010. My love of art led me to earn my Master of Arts in Education and, in 2019, became an Art Educator.

“We have known Amy for quite a while and seen the photos she has taken of the babies and children of friends so we have looked forward to the time when we could have her take photos of our own family and baby. Even being familiar with her work, we were still amazed by how great the photos turned out. Amy was a joy to work with and we appreciated the care she took with our little guy as she worked the shoot. With patience and care she cajoled him into position for one great shot after another. These are photos we will keep forever and I know Finn will love seeing them when he is older. If anyone is considering Amy for photos of their family or baby I can’t recommend her enough.”
