Just as the rest of us were getting ready to ring in the New Year, bright-eyed Alan was ringing in his own new year…TWO! And lucky for Alan, his mama was the winner of the PDX Kids Calendar Birthday Party Package Giveaway featuring Amy Close Photography and Penny’s Puppet Productions! I’ve never seen a two year old birthday party quite like this. The details were sensational and the snacks were unlimited! Alan was inthralled by the puppeteering of Penny and her show about Ted E. Bear’s Birthday Surprise. Oh what fun! The party was in the evening, so although I don’t typically use flash in my photography, I had no choice here. It was actually pretty interesting to work outside of my comfort zone and I liked the results. I felt like the light from the flash added a sense of drama, which was perfect for the *puppet show* theme. Enjoy.
